A few more kilometers on this same road leads to the village of Pharping and a proposed visit to Choling Monastery. The founder of this Monastery is Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Jigdel Choe Kyi Gyaltsen. In 1983, he laid the stone for the foundation of this Monastery. Today the Monastery is fully functioning with a reported 37 monks in residence. The full calendar includes many Dharma events, which are too numerous to all list here.

Every morning, all the monks do Mingling prayers for two hours and Tara Puja and incense offering puja.

Every evening, for two hours, there is Protector puja, Sadhana, and many other prayers and rites in the teaching of the Nyingma tradition.
